The Directors and members of the Best of British Touring & Holiday Parks Group, a prestigious network of privately owned Five star parks throughout the UK, are delighted to welcome Park Cliffe to the Group. The Group was formed in 1981 by six forward thinking park owners who were committed to marketing quality in all aspects of park facilities and management. It has now grown to its present size of 50 Parks, with approximately 8,000 pitches in total and the commitment to quality and personal service is stronger than ever. Best of British is still run by park owners on a voluntary basis, with the current Board of Directors having more than 99 years experience in the industry in total. |

The Camping and Caravanning Club has revealed exciting re-development plans which will position its Site network amongst the best in the country by 2015. After 18 months of thorough investigative research, The Friendly Club will invest £29 million over the next five years to bring its 110-strong Site network up to Club benchmark standard. The project, which has seen a 100 per cent increase in investment compared to the previous five years, is being self-funded and will follow a strategically considered growth plan. |

Predictions from the NCC (National Caravan Council) that an extra two million caravan holidays would be taken in Britain in 2009 are set to be proved correct.
The NCC, the trade association that represents the UK caravan industry, estimated in February 2009 that a big rise in the number of holidays taken in touring caravans, motorhomes and caravan holiday homes would be seen that year. |
The Camping and Caravanning Club will tomorrow (Tuesday, February 23) sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Highways Agency. The Highways Agency is an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport (DfT), and is responsible for operating, maintaining and improving the strategic road network in England on behalf of the Secretary of State for Transport. The two national organisations have worked closely for a number of months on an abundance of key areas and now intend to formalise their working relationship for the good of Club members and road users generally. |
Almost 30,000 people visited The Scottish Caravan & Outdoor Leisure Show during the four day event at the SECC, Glasgow (4 – 7 February). Over 150 companies showcased the latest caravans, motor caravans and holiday homes as well as outdoor leisure accessories, camping equipment and small boats. Many exhibitors reported record sales, including Kirkcaldy Caravans with sales up 100% on 2009 figures. |

Archies campings have the biggest and most accurate POI's available for download. At present they have 25,000 campsites in Europe for almost all navigation systems inclduing TomTom, Navman, Mio and Garmin to name but a few.
Today marks their 3rd Birthday and Touring and Tenting wish them all the very best for the future.
Recent additions to the POI's have been added from Sweden, Finland, South-East Europe, Czech Republic and Austria. |
