Latimer Hinks Solicitors has helped a couple to become sole owners of a popular caravan and camping site, securing the future of the business.

Eileen and Ian Cox run Abbot’s House Farm, in Goathland, which boasts 90 pitches for caravans and tents along with self-catering holiday accommodation comprising a bunkhouse barn, and a holiday apartment which is part of the farmhouse. 

The legal elements of the commercial deal were a team effort by Latimer Hinks’ staff with Nicola Neilson handling the property aspects, Nick Poole the transfer of the business to sole ownership and Mark Gardner the purchase negotiations.

Ord House Country Park is celebrating after being voted the best holiday park in Northumberland and eighteenth in the UK, beating thousands of competitors from across the country.

Hundreds of visitors voted through Practical Caravan magazine to register for the forty acre tree lined holiday park to be included in their Top 100 Sites 2010 competition.

The fantastic facilities at the park, which include a solar panelled shower facility, an 18th century mansion clubhouse, and a brand new children’s adventure park, have become a firm favourite for families wanting to visit picturesque Northumberland and the Scottish borders.

From the heart of the New Forest National Park to global recognition, Sandy Balls Holiday Centre has seen its TV ad rocket to fame appearing on Have I Got News For You, prime time American TV and Radio One’s Early Morning Show.

Also notching up a staggering 140,700 hits (and counting) on YouTube, the Sandy Balls ad has been the source of amusement across the world with the holiday centre’s unusual name turning the ad into a video viral.

It was the United States who were first to spot the video’s humour with two network programmes including the Ellen Degeneres Show, with its 5 million viewers, showing the ad in full.

A new online company has launched, called Contented Camping, which aims to help novice campers who don’t know where to begin in buying camping gear, or indeed are not even sure if camping holidays are going to be for them, to ‘try before they buy’.

Contented Camping hires out good quality tents and accompanying camping equipment from the leading brand names in the camping world, Vango, Coleman and Outwell to newbie-camper families.  It offers models which are particularly easy to pitch – none of the tents should take more than 20 minutes to put up – so it aims to make the first camping trip out as hassle-free as possible.
