Crealy adventure park

A family camping holiday in Devon can offer relaxation, fun and adventure with something for all the family.
Camping in Devon is growing in popularity as more and more families are looking to make the most of this year’s “barbeque summer”.  With rolling hills, majestic moorland and glistening sands with clear beaches – Devon is a perfect location for a summer of family camping.

Leading family Devon attractions such as Crealy Great Adventure Park are also welcoming more families this year than ever before in the month of August.   Families are being attracted by the generous pitches for tents, motor homes and carvans and the free entry to the Devon attraction keeps the children occupied and has made Crealy a leading family campsite.

After a day out at the beach or around the pool, swimming costumes and wet towels need to be dried before being used the next day, and ample space for a temporary clothesline and room for the family to enjoy a night of al fresco eating is a definite bonus.

Family camping is a very sociable experience and many families leave their holiday having found new friends in fellow campers from adjoining pitches, sharing evening barbeques and morning coffee together.

For many, the thought of bringing a barbeque is not ideal but there are many shops and supermarkets that offer disposable barbeques, freeing up all-important space for the car journey to and from the campsite.

The Devon family camp site benefits from on-site showers and toilets and those staying on the site also have use of a heated swimming pool in the afternoon.  Families planning to stay longer than three nights are allocated their very own miniature pony to care for throughout their stay if they have animal loving children.crealy family adventure

Many of the children visiting the site enjoy a fun filled day from bottle feeding goats and rounding up the ponies from the paddocks in the morning to braving some of the many rides in the afternoon.

Devon’s Crealy is very close to one of the region’s fastest growing and cosmopolitan shopping areas of Exeter.  Steeped in history, Exeter offers many good restaurants from Wagamamas and Café Rouge to regional award winning restaurants such as Michael Caines, whose namesake has previously worked with world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsey.
