Suretrack Monitoring plc, the leading UK based GSM asset security tracking business, has agreed a strategic partnership with The Explorer Group, the UK’s third largest caravan and motorhome manufacturer.

The agreement which commences with immediate effect will ensure that all of the Explorer range:-  Elddis, Compass and Buccaneer caravans plus the Elddis and Compass motorhomes dealerships offer the Suretrack MT2 tracking system as a dealer fit option, across there 94 dealership showrooms.

The cost of the tracking system in the first year is £499 plus VAT, with an annual subscription thereafter of £120 plus VAT.

For those owners of existing Explorer caravans and motorhomes they can have the Suretrack MT2 system fitted retrospectively at any of the Explorer UK dealerships to ensure added security to their caravan.

Will Hirons, CEO of Suretrack commenting on this new contract said,

“This is excellent news for Suretrack and for owners of Explorer caravans and motorhomes. Owners should be able to reduce their insurance costs as well as giving them additional peace of mind about the security of their property.

Suretrack’s capability to track assets such as caravans has recently been extended to cover Europe so owners of Explorer caravans can travel around France, Spain, Italy and other countries knowing that they are still being tracked.”

Chris Whitham Commercial Director from the Explorer Group added,

“The Suretrack package provides first class security at a very reasonable cost. We believe that the Suretrack product offers many customer benefits over other tracking devices on the market. We are delighted to have entered this agreement with them on behalf of our customers.”

Background to Suretrack

Suretrack, is the UK’s leading GSM based asset tracking service.

Its latest product Sure-track MT2 it is a small self-contained GPRS/ GSM/ RF tracking device used to assist the recovery of lost or stolen assets. The latest GSM based positioning technology is combined with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to create a covert security product. No specialist installation is required so it can be quickly and easily concealed within an asset.

The MT2 represents the next generation of battery powered asset tracking devices. The tracker now uses GPRS rather than SMS; a much more efficient power system, lasting up to three years; contacts the control centre much more frequently (every 45 minutes) giving its position; and uses an exclusive and exceptionally accurate triangulation location system.

The company’s key business areas are the plant hire and construction industry, the farming community and from caravan manufacturers.

In March 2009 Suretrack acquired IBP-Group Limited (“IBP”), a company that provides a suite of products that centre on deterring and reducing the incidence of robbery, primarily relating to cash – protecting staff and customers from violent crime.

IBP work closely with major Financial Institutions, Retailers and leading Cash-in-Transit Companies in co-operation with the police to achieve a target reduction in raids and other crimes in hot-spot areas. They are also suppliers to the Police Crime Prevention Initiative Raid-control™, focusing on deterring and foiling robberies at independent retailers.

Two major crime prevention initiatives, Banknote Watch™ and Raid-control™ were conceived by IBP-Group’s and donated without charge to assist in national and international crime prevention.

IBP-Group is an ISO 9001:2000 quality certified company and member of the BSIA Cash and Property Marking Section. In February 2007 the IBP team was awarded a Metropolitan Police Service Commendation for “continued support of the MPS Flying Squad in respect to crime reduction initiatives, in particular Rapid Reaction Smoke Packs, Banknote Watch™ and Raidcontrol™.”
