And with advanced bookings currently 27 per cent higher than this time last year and with more people than ever wanting to holiday in Britain, the Club will also target ‘first-timers’ in its New to Camping concept. As part of the New to Camping campaign, which will incorporate all forms of outdoor holidays; a comprehensive area within the Club’s official website to help get people started will go live on Monday, May 18.
Warwick Castle will provide the picturesque backdrop for The Camping and Caravanning Club’s exciting New to Camping campaign later this month. The medieval castle, which sits on a cliff overlooking a bend in the River Avon, was built by William the Conqueror in 1068 and is today one of Britain’s ultimate tourist attractions. Warwick has over 62 acres of impressive landscaped gardens leading from the Castle down to the river and it is these facilities that The Camping and Caravanning Club will utilise to help launch its eagerly-anticipated nationwide initiative on Thursday, May 28. National Camping and Caravanning Week (NCCW), which will run from Saturday, May 23 to Friday, May 29, together with the ‘New to Camping’ campaign, will engage the Club’s entire UK Site network in an attempt to raise even further the profile of camping and caravanning amongst the general public. A comprehensive ‘New to Camping’ area within the Club’s official website to help get people started will also go live on Monday, May 18.
